Tonisha E Kearney-Ramos

Dr. Kearney-Ramos’s primary area of interest is using human functional brain imaging to study the neural encoding of cognition and behavior as it relates to risk for and trajectory of substance use disorders. Since she joined the faculty at DSUD in 2018 to work under the mentorship of Drs. Haney and Evans, Dr. Kearney-Ramos has sought additional training in clinical research development and human lab procedures that model the effects of various interventions on drug use behaviors, including human lab models of drug self- administration. Her long-term career goal is to pursue the investigation of novel, integrated therapeutic approaches to treatment of addiction, such as combined brain stimulation, pharmacotherapeutic and psychosocial intervention.
