Center Leadership

Led by the Columbia University School of Social Work, the Department of Psychiatry’s Division on Substance Use Disorders, and the Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, CHOSEN will bring together Columbia scientists to advance cutting edge prevention, treatment, and implementation research on opioid and other substance use disorders. CHOSEN is needed to formalize administrative support and multi-disciplinary synergy for researchers and clinicians involved in guiding the nation’s response to the opioid epidemic and improving the quality of care in addiction and harm reduction services. CHOSEN will help researchers coordinate translational and implementation research across our innovative pipeline and interface with local, state, and federal agencies and other key community stakeholders at the forefront of funding, training, accreditation, and innovation for addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery and harm reduction services.
