Adam Bisaga

Dr. Bisaga was a recipient of a Career Development Award and a Principal Investigator on several R01s and Center Grant Projects funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse in the area of addiction pharmacotherapy development. He holds a UG3/UH3 award to evaluate the utility of a long- acting naltrexone implant to treatment opioid use disorder. He is currently serving as the Lead PI of a Clinical Trials Network study evaluating various outpatient induction methods onto extended-release naltrexone. His research interests include development of human laboratory and clinical trial models and testing medications to treat opioid, cocaine, and tobacco use disorders. He has also been a leader, nationally and internationally, educating physicians and other practitioners locally and nationally around medication treatments and systems of care for opioid use disorder, through his work with the SAMHSA funded PCSS and ORN initiatives, and the United Nations Office on Drug Control Policy.
