Sean X Luo

Dr. Luo’s interest is in using novel quantitative methods to optimize patient- treatment match for substance use disorders. His current K-award focuses on a biomarker that may assess dopamine transmission and potentially be utilized to predict treatment outcome. More recently, he is building a team to conduct research using advanced computational methods applied to large harmonized clinical trial data in opioid use disorder to predict whether an individual would respond to medication treatment. He is also engaging in developing common data models for several national clinical trial and bioinformatics infrastructure for addiction science.
