Stanislav Robert Vorel

Dr. Vorel received his MD at the Rijksuniversiteit Limburg, Maastricht, The Netherlands and his PhD in Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He completed his psychiatric residency at Columbia University and an addiction psychiatry residency and Substance Abuse Fellowship within the Division on Substance Use Disorders at the NY Presbyterian Hospital/NYSPI. He was awarded a K08 and currently serves as the Medical Director of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation New York. He is engaged in the Opioid Response Network as a treatment expert and has served as a study physician for the NIDA CTN ADAPT-2 study of bupropion and Vivitrol for treatment of methamphetamine use disorder.
